Santiago Castro

👋 I'm Santiago Castro, a Uruguayan 🇺🇾 living in the San Francisco Bay Area (USA). I'm an Research Scientist at Netflix. I have a PhD in CS from the University of Michigan (2024), advised by Rada Mihalcea.

My main research interest is in holistically representing multimodal sources (i.e., Vision and Language) for general-purpose applications, especially for video tasks. I'm also interested in Computational Humor.
